Shehla Bridle
(Head of the Nursery)

A small playgroup facility was established in Jebel Ali Village in 1976 to provide a pre-school facility for the children of residents of Jebel Ali Village, which consisted of expatriate employees involved in the construction of Jebel Ali Port and Free Zone. It operated from a small portacabin.

In 1996, the playgroup was moved to a villa in the village.

In 1999 the playgroup was upgraded to being a Nursery and was renamed Jebel Ali Village Nursery. The Nursery was relocated to a larger more spacious seven room facility with large outdoor play areas in the Jebel Ali Village.

The Jebel Ali Village Nursery is a fully independent private Nursery school fully licenced by the Dubai's Ministry of Welfare and social Affairs and operates in accordance with the laws of the UAE.

Currently the Nursery has 5 classrooms, 1 creche, medical room, library, 3 large shaded outdoor play areas, large grass lawn, sand and water play areas. It also has access to a swimming pool, parks and fully equipped medical Centre nearby.

Professional outdoor cooling system is installed in all outdoor playing areas. The nursery is staffed with a full time registered nurse. Experienced, qualified/trained and carefully screened British teachers and carers, providing early childhood education and care to English speaking children of preschool age.
