:: About the Nursery

Shehla Bridle
(Head of the Nursery)

A small playgroup facility was established in Jebel Ali Village in 1976 to provide a pre-school facility for the children of residents of Jebel Ali Village, which consisted of expatriate employees involved in the construction of Jebel Ali Port and Free Zone. It operated from a small portacabin.

In 1996, the playgroup was moved to a villa in the village.

In 1999 the playgroup was upgraded to being a Nursery and was renamed Jebel Ali Village Nursery. The Nursery was relocated to a larger more spacious seven room facility with large outdoor play areas in the Jebel Ali Village.

In July 2007 the Nursery opened a second branch at the Meadows, located at Hayya Club.  It also has access to a swimming pool, park and fully equipped sports hall nearby.

Only six months later, our third branch was opened at Dubai Marina. Located at Jumeirah Beach Residence, it is the biggest of all Nurseries, with ten classrooms and a large, shaded outdoor play area.

Since April 2008 there is also a branch of Jebel Ali Village Nursery Group at Arabian Ranches, located at the Polo Club.

The Jebel Ali Village Nursery is a fully independent private Nursery school fully licensed by the Dubai's Ministry of Welfare and social Affairs and operates in accordance with the laws of the UAE.
